About Mahmoud
Mahmoud Bdour doesn’t just work with chemistry — he lives it. A graduate of one of Jordan’s top universities in chemical sciences, Mahmoud has spent decades immersed in formulation, testing, and problem-solving. But more than a technical mind, he is a builder — someone who helped transform ATC from a vision on paper into a factory floor filled with results.
When he partnered with Raed Alibrahim to launch ATC’s chemical manufacturing wing, they had more ambition than resources. Mahmoud personally developed the company’s first core formulations — blending surfactants, solvents, acids, and polymers with deep care and sharp precision. He wasn’t just making products — he was creating ATC’s chemical language from scratch.
His obsession with balance — between performance and safety, between raw material efficiency and field results — continues to shape ATC’s product line today. And beyond formulas, Mahmoud brings heart: he sees chemistry as a responsibility, believing every formulation should solve a real-world problem without creating new ones.
Whether in the lab late at night or on a dusty factory floor running a field test, Mahmoud’s focus remains the same: solve operational challenges, push quality forward, and leave behind a safer, smarter industry.
Work Expereince
Mahmoud’s journey began in analytical labs and formulation workshops across Jordan, where he developed a deep familiarity with emulsifiers, biocides, degreasers, surfactant behavior, and multi-phase blending. Over time, his technical skills evolved into industrial expertise.
At ATC, Mahmoud has been responsible for:
- 🧪 Core Product Development:
Designing original formulations across water treatment, oilfield, hygiene, industrial degreasers, and more — from pH balancing to stability testing. - ⚙️ Process Design & Scale-Up:
Translating lab-scale recipes into full production — defining mixer speeds, reaction temperatures, batch sequencing, and container compatibility. - 📋 Quality Systems & Documentation:
Building ATC’s QA systems from scratch — including batch traceability logs, MSDS documentation, and in-house testing protocols. - 🟢 Sustainable Chemistry Initiatives:
Introducing alternatives to harsh acids and chlorinated solvents, improving biodegradability, and lowering environmental loading. - 🧭 Industry Consultation:
Supporting clients with custom formulation adjustments, chemical substitution, and compatibility evaluations based on their process constraints.
Mahmoud is a rare kind of chemist — one who is just as comfortable in the lab as he is explaining polymer-surfactant interaction to a client. His resilience and mastery of chemical systems form the scientific soul of ATC — a company built not just to manufacture, but to evolve.
